Snow Cat

This is Obi the 3 month old lion cub, he lives at Oaklawn Farm Zoo, Aylesford, NS. Here he is doing some exploring on one of his afternoon excursions around the zoo while the owner feeds the rest of the big cats. Lions are very good at adapting to different climates which Obi shows here. After his outing he settled by the wood stove in the owners house and had a nice long nap! Once Obi gets bigger (next spring/summer) he will be moving in with Nyah and Sterk the other two lions. Obi has had interaction with both Sterk and Nyah (between a fence) and there has been no signs of aggression in fact Sterk has taken to licking (washing) Obi through the wire. It is amazing to see these lions growing up!
