CT-155 Hawk Completed 3

Its been awhile since I posted a completed model, months since I have! This one has been a long time coming, thats summer for you though.

This is the Airfix 1/48 scale BAe Hawk 100 kit, modeled after the RCAF's advanced trainer the CT-155 Hawk. Overall it was a very good kit, most parts fit as shown. The kid however did require a major nose job. You could probably get away without doing it, but I wanted the model to look as realistic as possible. This was the first time I had tired treating the canopy with Finish floor wax, I'm sold on that process! I also painted the lines in the top part of the canopy and couldn't be happier with how that turned out! As for the decals in this kit I would give them a 6 out of 10, very detailed, but some of them were weak and the edges of the decals were sort of ragged.

Overall I consider this one of my best builds, it took a long time and I tired a few new things, but everything worked out!
